  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Telemetry nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
    • Job Requirements
    • Hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr shifts, 6:45am-6:45pm, 6:45pm-6:45am, self scheduling but not guaranteed.
      • Every other weekend requirement.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: ACU - Combination of Telemetry, medsurg, and DOU.
        • 50 beds in the unit.
        • Certs required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
        • Ratios: 1 to 5 medsurg, 1 to 4 tele, 1 to 3 for DOU.
        • EMR: Cerner.
        • Charge Nurse: Yes.
        • Nurse Aides: Availability depends on census.
        • Weekend Requirement: every other weekend.
        • Tele Monitors: Phillips - monitor tech available, but NURSES MUST BE ABLE TO READ STRIPS.
        • Drips: cardizem, amiodarone (non-titrating).
        • Vents: bipap or cpap; DOU will sometimes have chronic vents, travelers will not work DOU.
        • No IV team.
        • RT 24/7: Yes.
        • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes.
        • Floating: ACU will float between medsurg and tele.
        • Floor specific orientation: one shift at each facility.
        • Common diagnosis/Types of patients: post surgical, ortho, cardiac.
          • Additional Details
          • COVID Vaccine Required.
          • Every other weekend requirement.
          • One major and one minor holiday requirement.
          • Scrub Color: navy.
