Registered Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine - Advanced
Veterinary Specialists--Advanced Veterinary Specialists, located in
scenic Santa Barbara, is a premier specialty and emergency
veterinary hospital committed to providing exceptional care to pets
in need. We offer a range of specialized services, including
internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, oncology, and emergency
care, delivered by a team of dedicated professionals. We are
currently seeking a RVT to join our Internal Medicine team. The
successful candidate will work closely with our board-certified
Internists to provide high-quality care to patients with complex
medical conditions.As a RVT in the Internal Medicine department,
you be responsible for the following duties:Provide compassionate
care and monitoring for animals admitted to the internal medicine
departmentAssist with a variety of diagnostic proceduresCommunicate
effectively with pet owners, offering--guidance on their animal's
condition and treatment options.Monitoring anesthetic
proceduresMaintain accurate medical records and ensure equipment is
properly maintained and sterilized.Assist veterinarians during
procedures such as biopsies and aspiration cytology.Collaborate
closely with other veterinary professionals to provide
comprehensive patient care.Advocate for the well-being of patients,
ensuring they receive appropriate care and treatment.Other duties
as assigned.Compensation range: $26.00- $35.00 hr.--primarily
determined by role and experience level.Work schedule:4/10 work
weekWeekend and holiday flexibility required.Basic required
qualifications:Licensed as a RVT in the state of CaliforniaHigh
school diplomaGeneral understanding and experience with small
animal restraint with a focus on cats and dogsCalm, professional
demeanor.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Reliable
time management and problem-solving skills; working efficiently and
effectively throughout the hospital.Multi-task various duties and
responsibilities in a timely and reliable manner, with appropriate
follow-through and accuracy.Understand and follow established
hospital processes and procedures (i.e. SOPs)Able to work well
independently as well as with a team.Basic understanding of
